It all started in October 1985...during a videotaping of a Police Training Seminar held at the Ray Chapman Range just outside of Columbia, Missouri. The training was being conducted by one of the top firearms tactics and shooting instructors in the world at the time, Ray Chapman, 1973 IPSC World Chamption, acclaimed competition shooter in the early 1970's and one of the original, founding members of IPSC. In fact, the famed Columbia Conference is the genesis of Ray Chapman's shooting range in Columbia, Missouri.

This video is number five of a nine volume series that takes you through a five-day police training seminar held by Ray Chapman, a "World Champion" competition shooter in the early 1970s and the 1973 IPSC World Champion.

Everything went according to plan. The instruction was excellent, the videotaping was well done. Just one thing went wrong - we lost the tapes! Somehow, somewhere, the tapes were misplaced for over 11 years. Well, sometimes you get lucky, and I can tell you I did, because during our move to our new location I found the lost raw footage of these excellent pistol and shotgun instruction videos featuring one of the greatest firearms trainers of all time, Ray Chapman. Massad Ayoob joins him in two of the nine volumes of this series. These programs are now being released for the first time ever. They feature the highlights of a five-day police survival seminar held at the Ray Chapman Academy outside of Columbia, Missouri. If you want to know everything about shooting a gun and how to use it in a real self-defense, gunfighting situation, then you need to see the entire series. 1996, VHS, color, approximately 60 minutes. (VHS Video Tape NOT DVD).
